Update From Marsi

She is stable in ICU at McKay Dee hospital in Ogden Utah. Neil and Stacey are there with her. She is in a drug enduced coma until at least Saturday night. This was done to allow her body to relax and rest and try to heal because she has had such a horrible trauma. Her injuries include: broken ribs on either side of chest, broken breast bone, punctured lungs, damaged kidneys with 20%-30% loss of function, damaged splein, I believe she has fractured her L-2 in her back. The internal bleeding was caused from her liver being severed, not just lacerated. They went in and surrounded her liver with foam substance to stop the bleeding. The bleeding is down to a trickle, which they are comfortable with at this time. They are watching for any signs of paralasis, which is not likely, and they are watching for blood clots. She currently has some in her leg so for now its a balancing act trying to get some things to clot and others not to. If anyone is planning on visitng her in Ogden that is okay, however Neil said that it is not a sight for young eyes. She has chest tubes in and tubes in her throat and several IV needles in. There has been a hotel contacted for any family needing to stay. they are offering a room rate of $59.00 a night.
