Ejas was insuch great spirits today. She has started to communicate with us by writing on a piece of paper. She still can't talk because of the breathing tube but we are hopeful that will change in the next few days. Today we were cracking jokes with her. Her eyes, facial expressions and notes on paper were speaking millions of words.
Her vital signs all still remain right where they need to be. The pneumonia has not worsened and she is still breathing on her own with oxygen supplementation. Also, she stood today and took some steps. She is very determined.
Her first note today was that she wanted to listen to some music, so we got her some hymns and other CD's and a CD player. She has loved listening to the music ALL day! She was not interested in any headphones or anything, just playing it out loud!
It was an exellent day!
